Getting Electricity Fit-Out Connections

Through a DEWA approved electrical contractor, Getting Electricity Fit-Out Connections application. This service enables customers to obtain fitout power connection to shops and offices.

If you do not receive a Welcome email from DEWA due to not entering your correct email ID by Property Management Company, you can apply online on DEWA Website / DEWA Smart App.

This service enables enrolled contractors and consultants to obtain Electricity/Water No Objection Certificate for issuance of building permit. Fees: Application for service is free of charge. Service is chargeable (where applicable).

Getting Electricity and Water Connections

Refundable security deposit for electricity and water connections - AED 2,000 (for apartments) / AED 4,000 (for villas), in addition to supply activation fees - AED 130 to be paid to DEWA through any payment channel.

Water NOC, Affection Plan (Updated), Owner ID’s, NOC Letter /Building permit, Setting Out Plan, Proposed water tank capacity, Drawing Submission, Premises details, Water Consumption details, Affection Plan, NOC letter, Setting Out Plan, Tenancy Contract, Trade License +Passport or Emirates ID copies, Proposed Drawing with connection details.

Required for companies only: Request letter on company’s letterhead duly signed and stamped is required to be attached (applicable only for credit balance cases other than Security Deposit).

Dewa Load Upgrade

NOC Letter from landlord, Affection plan, Setting out plan, Site Plan, Tenancy contract, Valid Trade license copy, Passport copy & Emirates ID Copy of Tenant/Landlord, Mobile Number & E-mail id of Client Tenant/Landlord.

The connection costs for ‘Getting Electricity’ is automatically calculated by DEWA system using the TCL (Total Connected load) specified by customer and approved by DEWA. The TCL is divided in to the respective bands of applicable slabs and rates are applied for connected loads in each slabs, thereby cumulative connection cost is arrived automatically through the system.

Ground floor and/or typical floor plan indicating location of Electrical rooms/MDBs/SMDBs etc (.dwf Format) 6. General arrangements of KWh meters in ground and/or typical floor electrical rooms (.dwf Format) 7. Typical Load distribution schedule for final distribution board. (.pdf Format ) 8. Affection Plan+Passport copy/Trade License copy (.pdf Format)

Temporary Supply

The Welcome email that you receive from DEWA includes a link for payment of Security Deposit. By clicking on the link, you can pay DEWA Security Deposit online. Alternatively, You can pay DEWA Security Deposit through any DEWA payment channel or contractors online log in also.

This service is exclusively for consultants or contractors DEWA launched Al Namoos (Emirati dialect for those who win in races) service in December 2014. It has been upgraded to provide electricity connections in just two steps within 5 days, for all projects up to 150 kW. Al Namoos Projects are classified by DEWA as per the following criteria: Permanent & new connections to the premises. Load up to 150 kW. Power supply from DEWA’s existing network. Electrical contractors or consultants can apply for Al Namoos to obtain a low-voltage inspection. DEWA will carry out the external work, meter installation, and final connection, after paying the connection fee. Time to complete - 5 days.
